South Jersey Elevator was founded in Ocean City, NJ in 2013 by William McGrath. William has over 30 years of experience in the elevator industry, and in his years of service he began to see trends he believed were unfair to customers. He and his family founded South Jersey Elevator with his savings, his passion, and a goal of providing first class service and customer relationships to families and businesses in need.
The company truly started from the bottom, with William and his family just working out of one truck. Through providing service to a small few accounts William brought with him, word of mouth about South Jersey Elevator and its dedication to customer relationships helped the company grow a little bit at a time. Our customers appreciated the family-oriented relationship as opposed to the big box store relationship, as they still do today.
To this day, South Jersey Elevator’s focus is on a personal connection with our customers. That includes small touches, like not changing a customer’s sales representative without warning, being available to answer questions anytime, and attention to detail with equipment. We continue to offer competitive rates and special offers, which contributes to the continuing growth of our customer base.
